A total of 25 participants attended the 5th CINS Members Meeting on Tuesday 8 March 2016, generously hosted by MSC at their Geneva HQ.
During the morning sessions, the status of current/planned CINS projects was reviewed. In the afternoon, there were three guest presentations:
- Ian Lennard and Robert Ahlborn who gave details of the Role, Responsibilities and Container Inspection Activities of the National Cargo Bureau
- Keith Bradley, Hazardous Cargoes Adviser of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency, who gave an overview of the SOLAS Container Verified Gross Mass Weight Verification Requirement and the implementation in the UK by the MCA
- Mehdi Ben Mouloud, General Manager, Global HSSE Strategic Planning & Projects, APM Terminals Management, Challenges of Handling of Dangerous Cargo in Terminals
